Did you know this about (fresh) garlic?

Garlic is a truly exotic vegetable. Even though it is grown in Western Europe, its origins lie on the other side of the world. In Asia, China.

Besides being nutritious and a seasoning, garlic is often attributed other properties. The story goes that the builders of the Egyptian pyramids ate garlic as their power food.

Back to the present. Did you know that fresh garlic is bigger, milder and juicier than the dried variety? It is also easier to digest. This is why fresh garlic is better used in cold and raw preparations such as salads and dressings. What's more, eating a fresh clove of garlic will reduce stomach discomfort and bad breath. A nice bonus, isn't it?
